Where it all began…
JMHC Logistics was founded in 2011 with only two vans and two routes
Since then JMHC Logistics has gone from strength to strength and we now have a fleet of over 350 vans across 14 depots.
JMHC Logistics currently work with 5 major partners to provide logistical solutions. Covering most cities from Glasgow to Plymouth, all coordinated from our head office in North Yorkshire.
Our directors are husband and wife and they work together to ensure the most effective working strategy.
Couriers usually have to perform the following
tasks:
- Planning
delivery routes
- Loading
items onto the van
- Collecting
instructions from the central depot
- Examining
vehicles before delivery
- Signing for the item upon collection
Some of the main qualities we look for when hiring
courier drivers :
- A
good understanding of Maths and English
- Being
honesty and reliable
- Have
a suitable level of fitness
- Being
punctual
- Having
competent customer service skills
- Having
good route and geography knowledge
- Being
proactive and self-motivated
- Having
good driving skills
- Being
able to follow strict instructions
- Being
organised and methodical
